New Delhi: In view of the Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal has announced a new scheme in a press conference today. He has announced the Priest and Granthi Samman Scheme before the Delhi Assembly elections. Kejriwal said that under this scheme, an amount of Rs 18,000 will be given to temple priests and granthis of gurudwaras every month. He said that this is happening for the first time in the country. Registration for the scheme will start from tomorrow. This scheme will start from Connaught Place tomorrow. Tomorrow I will go to Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place and start the registration. After that, all the MLAs will register the granthis in their respective constituencies.
Kejriwal said that priests and granthis serve the society. Till today, no one has paid attention to it. If the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed, we will give a monthly salary of Rs 18,000 to priests and granthis. He said that I will go to Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place tomorrow and register the priests. I request the BJP not to create any obstacle in the registration of priests and granthis. Do not stop this registration process. If the BJP tries to stop this scheme, it will commit a sin. And the granthis will curse it. It should be
noted that the imams of mosques managed by the Waqf in Delhi are paid a salary from the income of the Waqf under the supervision of the Delhi government, but it is known that they have not received their salary for the last six months. Registration of priests and granthis will start from Tuesday. Arvind Kejriwal said that tomorrow he himself will go to Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place and start registration of priests and then all MLAs, candidates and workers of Aam Aadmi Party will go to all temples and gurudwaras of Delhi and get them registered.
